What is the difference between anti-wrinkle treatment (botox) and fillers?

Are you considering having an aesthetic treatment, but not sure what options are available to you? You may have heard about anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers but not sure of the differences?

In essence, anti-wrinkle treatment (commonly referred to as botox) contains a purified bacteria that freezes the muscles. This reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines causes by repeatative muscle movements in your face.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substance that are injected beneath the skin to add volume, fill in wrinkles, and restore a smoother, more youthful appearance. Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles, fillers work by physically filling in lines and wrinkles or adding volume to areas that have lost volume due to aging.

Both treatments are minimally invasive with limited down-time but do require the use of a needle. The treatments are non-invasive and well-tolerated by patients. Result normally appear within a few days.
