FAQs

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle treatment (botox) and fillers?

Anti-wrinkle treatments minimise muscle movements to soften wrinkles and fine lines. Dermal fillers add volume and fill in wrinkles. See our blog post.

Can Anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers work together?

Absolutely. Both treatments complement each other as they work on a variety of wrinkle types. See our blog post.

Will Anti-wrinkle treatment results be instant?

No. Treatment can take upto 2 weeks to show full results. A follow-up appointment is generally booked after 2 weeks to check if any "top-up" treatment is needed.

Will Anti-wrinkle treatment wear off?

Yes, the treatment is not permanent and usually lasts for 3-4 months.

Will my face look frozen?

Excessive amount of botox or administration by an untrained professional using poor techniques can lead to an unfavourable, unnatural look. At SkinBio aesthetics we aim for as natural look as possible. Dr Soni and Dr Sandhu are experienced medical professionals who will ensure a detailed facial analysis is carried out prior to any injections.

When can I expect to see results after dermal fillers?

Dermal filler effects are noticeable immediately after the treatment. The effects are long lasting, non-permanent and reversible. Most patients report effects to last up to 6-12 months.

Are lip fillers safe?

Yes. At SkinBio aesthetics a detailed assessment is carried out prior to the procedure to ensure the treatment is suitable.

Does lip augmentation hurt?

Lip filler injections are relatively painless however this can vary according to patient's comfort levels with needle injections. Lip fillers have lidocaine mixed within the gel which helps to numb the lips to reduce discomfort.
